We saw people using this area during the day to relax and play board games and cards. Gaining access to this area for our Norwegian Escape Photo Tour, we got to explore the Haven, including an Owner’s Suite that was not occupied. Also located here is the Haven Restaurant, open for all three meals. The menu does stay the same all week and is different than the main dining room menus. Book Shows First – Even the most adamant Freestyle cruisers should still reserve tickets to both Broadway shows as showtimes are limited.
Deck Fourteen
Norwegian Escape will be the Company's largest vessel in Europe this season at nearly 165,000 gross tons. Continuing toward the middle of the ship, there is the 5 O’ Clock Somewhere Bar, followed by the Tobacco Road Bar, and the Cigar Lounge. 5 O’ Clock Somewhere also has outdoor seating and an outdoor bar where you can order tasty margaritas and boat drinks. Also on this deck are some studio cabins and the studio lounge. There are three decks of studio rooms (Decks 10-12), and we were able to get a tour of the area. Unfortunately, all cabins were occupied, so we were not able to see one of the rooms.
Do the balcony staterooms have mini fridges? Do any staterooms have refrigerators?
Moreover, with NCL's Freestyle Cruising philosophy, guests have the freedom to tailor their vacation experience to their preferences, with no fixed schedules or dinner times. NCL’s freedom of choice and value proposition invites guests to explore the world while enjoying the convenience of unpacking just once and waking up in a new and exciting destination almost every day. On a Norwegian Escape Cruise you have plenty of different stateroom categories from which to choose. Here is where having a budget is crucial, as room costs can vary from $599 per person for a 7 night cruise in an interior room to over $3,000 a person for a Haven suite on the same cruise. There are also limited studio cabins available for those traveling solo. Plenty of cruise ships feature exhilarating top-deck experiences, but Escape promises the biggest and best yet.
Deck Ten
These stylish staterooms feature fine appointments, which are highlighted by nice touches and clear views of the ocean. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors open to your own private balcony. Stylish and sophisticated appointments accent these modern rooms.

You can also grab a great photo of the pool deck and lower decks by walking the little track behind the bar. Also forward on the port side of the ship is another public sun deck, complete with the Sundeck Bar. Norwegian Cruise Line has opted for a contemporary, sophisticated design with the 2,175 cabins on Escape, giving the rooms on the ship an upscale feel, similar to that found in a modern business hotel in a city center. That said, standard cabins are just that; Norwegian opts for uniformity over wow factor and reserves any surprises for the suites and above. With all of the possibilities, you might feel overwhelmed, but don’t fret because we here at Eatsleepcruise.com have all the insider tips for you.

Whether you’re dining inside or oceanside on The Waterfront, our specialty restaurants feature the tastes you’ll crave. With a very modern design, the theater is more visually appealing than some other cruise ships. If you have not pre-booked shows, you can do so at the Box Office once onboard or use the Norwegian app or your stateroom television. Honestly, this is more like the main pool area on most cruise ships where the stage is located. Many of the pool deck events like the sexy legs contest, ice carvings, and cruise director led shows occur at this pool.
A three-story ropes course with five sky rails to zipline and two planks to walk over the side of the ship (along with a ropes course just for kids) beckons passengers with 99 total course components. Nearby, cool off at the ship's water park, which includes four water slides, four hot tubs, two pools and a kids' splash area. On Norwegian Escape, the traditional suites are all tucked away within The Haven.
The Breakaway Plus Class was launched in 2015 and has received rave reviews worldwide since. The spa also boasts Norwegian’s first snow room, where guests can relax post-sauna in a 14-degree room that literally has snow falling from the ceiling. Shows include “Howl at the Moon,” a dueling piano show featuring favorite rock and pop hits; “The Choir of Man,” another musical act with top tunes; and takes on favorite game shows, such as Deal or No Deal and Wheel of Fortune. Norwegian Escape offers tons of things to do, no matter what kind of cruiser you are, no matter your age.
Crowds, too, are noticeable, especially at peak periods around dinner and at show times, when everyone is clamoring for the same things at the same time. Whether it’s the two of you or your family, our mini-suites are accented with the finest touches. On April 25, Norwegian Pearl will also cross the Atlantic from New York, arriving in Southampton on May 9. From there, the 93,530-gross-ton ship will transition to Venice and begin its Med season, sailing between Italy and Greece through early November.
It felt a bit tight, so we can only imagine how busy it gets during peak times of the year. Aft of the ship on deck 19 is where you will be able to really explore the sports complex. Relatively busy during our cruise, we did manage to play one game which ended in a tie. Register On Norwegian Cruise Line’s Website – Once you have your reservation number, you should immediately go to NCL’s website to set up an account, if you don’t have one already from booking your cruise. These include New York City, Le Havre (Paris), and Oslo, Norway. NCL is employing eight ships in the region during the summer season, including its newest ships, Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva.
